Let it rock...

2008-12-02

I swear , I start out every blog about how much i miss my blog.

For Christmas I have a short list going... why i want CD's i dont know, as my music is totally portable, but something is fun about a CD.

-New Killers

-New Coldplay

-New Nickelback

-Tickets to go see Nickelback in April in Jax

-Singstar new version for Playstation

-A new cell- mine is G.H.E.T.T.O.

-some good valium

-a friend <-- Ok i am officially ready. How do you make a friend? i guess its not going around with a scowl on my face huh? God. boring. Salt life is good for me, but no matter where you go, the problems follow and although the novelty is NOT wearing off at all, i am afraid it will. I am enjoying the moments but also living in a haze. I dont want to work, feel guilty when i play ( because Wes is prob at work), need to exercise, .... Facebook is crazy- getting in touch with lots of people that i know from the way... past..... Same drama and click that was .... I am sooo over that shit. Fun to see where people are and what they are doing 20 yrs later though. omf. am i that old? We are going to have a lot of money in January with a business I am working on helping my rich brother.. (haha). Most people plan on saving. This is not in my plan. What i want to do with the money in no particular order. -Start my own college fund for the babies. My parents have one for them, but Florida has a great one that i want to begin. Wait! That's very responsible. -Pay off the last little bit on our cars. Wait! Yet again, responsible. -Take our trip to Greece. Chloe, are you there on my blog reads still? sigh, we have been planning this for years now. -Take the babies on a cruise. Fuck. They are going to be 10 and 8. babies no more, yet i can't help myself... maybe swim with dolphins or make some other great family memories. Things have been fah-ukkked not so long ago, and i love my life so much i want to just keep plugging along and making these precious memories. Wes said the other day how much he hates the word "blessed" as it is Christian-ese language, otherwise cliche , but there is no other word for it.

-Go see my friend in England for her birthday in April ( not the nickelback weekend).

Ok, i have a question, although i am prediciting your answer, assuming you are as big of a bitch as i am... WHYYY can 99 people do the right thing, but the "one" who doesn't act the way i think they should pisses me off?

The beach is a lovely place to be at Christmas. The people right across the street, with the teal house, have a nascar santa sleigh on their roof. NICE. and the people next to them have classy white lights illuminating their palm trees. we have gorgeous lights that are always on our balcony ( for when we have FRIENDS to set the mood outside) and added garland and more lights. so pretty. Got to love the beach. Everyone is so quirky... a touch redneck, a touch surfer, a touch dont give a shit, very unpretentious on my street... so fun. Fernandina is the neatest little town. I want to live here forever...

"so he stuck his middle finger to the world. to the world. to the world. "

ever have days like that?

thank God i am still anonymous , i couldnt handle the bullshit of un-newness...

how are you by the way? i miss you

my desk- julia, friends pic, laugh out loud sign, rhino (symbolic of one of wes' tattooes) greece tour books, one from Chloe, G from Maddy, shells from a few beaches and my "well behaved women rarely make history" I gave this print to Wes- Golden Gate bridge- he drove me across it on our first date, to Marin County,. to seal watch , smoke pot and drink beer. romantic, no?

Holly over at Nothing But Bonfires is so fabulous! She's the kind of girl you read about and you really want to hate her. She is gorgeous! Her boyfriend is gorgeous! She has a quaint little British accent, travels the world, writes for a travel site, lives in my love San Francisco. etc, looks good in rain boots.. you know the sort! Her apartment got picked for a photo spread, and today she linked the pics and told about how nosy she is when she goes to someones apartment/home. I am the same way, but how rude it is to just stare and wander and look at someone's stuff.
I love my stuff! I think we have interesting stuff , but that is because it is ours..
I am tagging you to show me
1. what is hanging on your walls
2. anything on your counters that may be interesting.
I stopped when it started getting obnoxious. lol

Problems. Everyone has them. My latest is that we are having major car trouble and it is going to cost upwards of 2 grand. So, I have been in a pit. No money extra for that this time of year. The money is wrapped under the tree. No credit card to stick it on. The bonus check that W. got will cover part of it, and we will have to steal from Peter to pay Paul, but damn i need my car back. We went to pick up a rental till ours is ready , and the promise of a cute jetta rolled around the corner and was actually a big ugly van. no offense van drivers. I am not a lover. I have two kids and have no need for such a monstrosity. I am more of a Jetta girl. Maybe it was God working on my pride? ha. ha. ha. so funny i forgot to laugh.

Everywhere I look, there are problems.

Someone is having their identity stolen at this moment.

Someone is pregnant after the promise from the urologist that the tubes have been severed.

Someone is lonely because he didnt ask his girlfriend of 7 yrs to marry him , and she couldnt wait, so she ditched him.

Someone has it all together but no one knows what a jerk her husband is to her , even though it looks perfect from the outside, but on the inside he nitpicks everything she does.

What do we do? I was so depressed on Tuesday , I couldn't make a move without tearing up. Then i start over-analyzing things. Then I start picking about what i have that is good and precious. Then I start wondering why no one cares. Then i start throwing myself the biggest pity party a girl could have.

But the next day, I woke up and made a choice. I made a choice for my two babies who were excited Tuesday because it was only 7 days till Christmas and we dismissed them without batting an eye because 'we were having a bad day'. I woke up , plastered a smile on my still tear stained cheeks , said a quick prayer for God to give me strength.... I turned on the Christmas music, blasted some Relient K "Angels we have heard on high", and gathered the babies. I sat them down with big steaming cups of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows at the kitchen table, spread wax paper everywhere and we began the pretzel factory... chocolate dipped salty twists with sprinkled art work like you have never seen. Their faces were lit up, they were licking the mess off their fingers, and it was all good right then. We took them to our neighbors and co-workers and spread the joy, because really... what good would it do to mope? i was ruining their Christmas and i had to get a grip.

Today is another day. I will have to try again to make it not all about me and more about them. They deserve it, those sweet babies who make my life worth living...
