So, we want to move to florida. big news to you?? lol. we keep talking about it-one day i am going to make it happen.

Since i know nothing about the area, as we just kind of pointed to a map, and decided "HERE! WE'LL MOVE HERE!"
i am looking at the state websites for schools , trying to figure out neighborhoods, etc.. and i came across a message board for one school. here is what the mom wrote ... and i quote directly, cause i could not make this crap up if i tried....

This was my childs first year at a public school and in a Florida school. I didn't like the fact that no one didn't tell me that all they have to study is for the FCAT test in March. And thats akll the teachers wanted is that would get there big bonus if they received an 'A' rating. And there is no basketball teams for the boys or girls. There is no one to help you find tutoring for your child or any extra help for the parents to help. I feel that the should inform the new parents all the information about the so called 'FCAT' scores before you register your child in the public schools

OH MY! all this no one is telling her and to top it off no basketball in elementary school? what a crime. part two of the saga to move to florida to continue.

song of the day~
Sublime and Gwen Stefani (omg i love the two) Work that we do
movie of the day~
Garden State- i cannot wait to watch this. i see everyone in the free world has seen it/loved it but me!!

I didn't like Garden State either, and I agree with that lady about Florida. FCATS SUCK!! The schools are only worried about that, there is no basketball, no nothing for sports for the kids and the elementary kids in our schools do NOT get recess. It sucks compared to what I'm hearing from your schools. :(

Garden State is quirky and
odd and redeeming.
You may want to resist it -
it feels so melancholy but
Natalie will keep you afloat.
And eventually gets Zach to
float too:)

Garden State is the greatest movie ever made if you're 25. If you're 42, it's pretty good.
