<--blake on his first day- that HAIR> he is trying to grow it out and make me CRAZY with it! such a good kid. xox
I have had a rough morning. It all started out fine, Blake's second day and Julia's first day... I walked her into her room, and I could feel it starting. The eyes welling up, the lips quivering... I almost made it out of there before the two teachers handed me a note stapled to a ziploc. the ziploc had tissues and a teabag in it, and the note said something like "go home ,relax, cry it out, rub the tissue on your face to remember the softness of your child's skin WAHH MY SOFT BABY GIRL IS IN KINDERGARTEN I JUST LEFT HER THERE SHE IS RIDING THE BUS THE FREAKING SCHOOL BUS WITH BULLYS AND MEAN DRIVER (OH WAIT THIS IS SMALL TOWN AMERICA) WHAT WAS I THINKING WHAT IF SHE CANT REMEMBER HER PIN NUMBER FOR HER LUNCH ACCOUNT WHAT IF SHE FALLS OFF THE MONKEY BARS THEY SAID IT WOULD GO FAST WHY DID I RUSH IT WHY DID I RUSH IT ...ok, self composed., have to get out of the hallway of school and get to the car and drive my pathetic self to the gym. left my keys, had to go BACK to the classroom and do it all again.. here's the clincher- i forgot her nap mat at home, so had to go back again!! I am so tart- i cried all three times and am now welling up. Dont get me wrong, i dont want to go back to babies, this is just a rite of passage that i knew i would be sad about. SIGH. ok.
so i finally made it to the gym, and promptly came home and ate wavy lays and mini ice cream sandwich (at least it was mini!) . went to the office (that's another post for later ) and now am home doing nada!

"The Kissing Hand" is a good book for the first days of school, although it's more about what the child is going through than the mom.

Yeah, speaking of the long hair...I don't know what you people did to my son, but he refuses to let me cut his hair now! It looks uhhh, tart! He didn't start doing the refusing till we left your house! WHAT DID YOU DO!???

Anyway, they are too cute! It's still hard for me to believe they are so big. This is one more reason I'm happy I chose to homeschool. I don't want to have this day.
