One stop to the rhythm that divides you

There is a whole world out there that lots of people don't know about. It is bizarre to me, but i consider myself to be more on the cutting edge side of life than the 10 yrs behind. My friend once told me ( about 10 yrs ago) that i was trendy because i was wearing capri pants. Some people just dont know.
For instance, one should know what youtube is, how to download a song, what an Ipod is, what a BLOG is, what a facebook, myspace, typepad, etc... is.. But seriously, internets, they just dont know. or least my circle. They are not techy savvy like you are! There are a few in my group of peeps who have a facebook, etc... but to get them to venture in cyberspace would be laughable. ONE of my friends in town has a blog (Hey Natalie!) but other than that, no one else. It is me and Natalie's little secret- we don't many people to know about it, ... almost like a good sale, afraid if you tell, they will get there before you and get all the good stuff. or like a babysitter who is wonderful, but since you opened your mouth, she is always babysitting for your friends and not available for you anymore. I babble. I digress.
Then there are people like me who are addicted to information or the internet. or looking at their pretty flat panel screen ALL. DAY. LONG. ahem. and who have all the majors- FB, MYSPACE, and a BLOG.
To me , it is frustrating and It is hard to really connect with someone who does not have that interest that is SO important to me... ya know? Why don't they get one? are they not interested ? addictive personalities? do i really want them to read me? then they would be worried if i went up for prayer at church, because they read my blog last week, that i gave in and starting taking sips into my nose ( and now they know what that means, cause they didnt know before i went on and freaking on about third eye blind).
When i read someone's blog and they make a joke about getting excited because Dooce updated her blog, i know what they mean! I am completely in the know when the GFY girls are on the red carpet on Access Hollywood, because i have them blogrolled , baby. One day I will meet the great Amalah ( and i will pronounce it aim-a-lah like anyone who knows anything about blogging knows! lol) I am addicted to hair thursdays and pride myself on always voting the majority on Whoorl's blog. There is a whole Hollywood-ish society on blogworld, and I like to be in the know.
I continue to babble. Doesnt it freak you out when you hear of people who dont know what a blog is? do tell.

Yes! I say if you're under 50 you ought to know what a blog is. Most of my real world people are at least moderately internet savvy, however, most of them don't read my blog. a)They might discover how boring I really am. b) What if I want to talk about them? Or what if they think I should talk about them but I don't think they're worth mentioning?

What's a blog?
Actually, I wish MORE people didn't know what a blog was.

You are funny, I don't love the blogging, or the facebook, but something about Myspace makes me happy....lol I love to keep in touch but only on my own terms, I feel like myspace is that for me. Otherwise it makes me nervous, like I'm putting things out there and waiting for someone to come and read it, see it comment on it, ....I don't know why do I care? I get all nervous that I am going to offend people...I"m so lame!!: Anyway, that's why I love myspace you can say a little or a lot, comment or not, you're just kind of there. :) xox

you are so funny! I like being free to write, so I do not want a whole lot of people that I know in real life to know about my blog! actully, sometimes (a lot) i feel more comfortable here in blog land. i love the freedom to say what i want.
i have to confess, i do not know about any of the other stuff you are talking about! : )
