I am addicted to House Hunters. for those of you who do not watch it (what's wrong with you? unless you live in another country that is :) ) here is the basic jist of the show. people are searching for houses, and narrow it down to three. we the audience get to come along for the three choices and then they narrow it down to one by the end of the show. i have a 98.7 % correct guess percentage on which house they choose in the end. My hidden talent , you see.
Now they have HH New York. I love it. the market there is CRAZY!!!!!! they compare living in manhatten by saying it costs 100,000 per 100 sq ft. so a 500 sq apt would be 500K. can you imagine?? then there are regime fees that range from 500-800 a month ON TOP OF THAT> what are these people doing for a living to afford this? the other burrows are a bit cheaper, but still way out of our league. The only bad thing about the show is Star Jones. ugg. she needs to gain some weight. I missed the whole View drama, but apparantly there was some. I am a Regis and Kelly girl, so not too interested.
By the way, The Lake House was sooooo good!!! I would read the review before you went to see it though, so you can follow the slightly confusing plot. It was SUCH a good movie. romantic.
Blake is doing Hockey camp (LOL) . he looks 100 lbs overweight with all of his gear on. this is wesley's worst nightmare, being inside on the ice in the summer time, when one should be outside playing soccer. But he caved and Blake is so happy.
Julia is doing cheerleader camp this week. SO CUTE. i will take pics of both.

I saw the premiere of House Hunters NY too... felt the same about Star. Her voice grates on my nerves. It was interesting to see the HUGE difference in cost and space in general between NYC and San Antone. I missed Suzanne Whang... I guess she's allergic to the Northeast! :o) JK

I loved the movie,too! good choice.
i have a friend whose children play ice hockey. they love it! they have season tickets to our ice hockey team's games.
I am with Blake...it is tooooo hot to play outside. what could be better than playing on ice when it is 94 degrees outside.

I had a little daydream of dressing Taryn up as a cheerleader for Halloween while I was driving down the road yesterday. It only lasted a few seconds, though, thank goodness, until I realized that she'd look much, much cuter as a football player!

julia, i think she likes it because of the teenage/preteen girls. they adore the little girls, so my julia eats it up! told me she made a new friend today, brittany, who is 14! LOL

I love House hunters, but dont like Star! I want to see The Lake House. Sandra Bullock is my fav.
I bet Julia makes the cutest little Cheerleader! Blake? I would much rather be outside then in an ice rink in the summer, but as long as he likes it! : )

As for how do people afford those NY prices, they rent in rent controlled places or take out very risky loans.

Ok, just saw the newest HH episode... the whole dog as prop thing is pretty lame. Star is almost using the cute little mop as a shield... "Love me! Don't fire me! I have a purse pooch!" Poooooor puppy pawn... xoS
