Anyone have fun plans for Labor Day? Hope you make it a fun one with friends and family. I just got off the phone with Missy, Gage's Mommy, and Gage only has 6 radiation treatments to go. she lives in Houston, where a gazillion Katrina victims went, and says that churches and the like are turning away clothes, toys, etc because they have been so flooded with stuff. They are setting up school at the Astrodome and have donated 500 housing units. Texas is so wonderful.
Praise the Lord on that note.

I realize some people don't like Bush, but somehow he won, majority rules, and i wish people would respect him a bit more. He IS our president and to bash him just seems wrong-no respect for him, and you are not teaching your children anything positive by bashing our nation's leader. I find it hard to believe how the hurricane and all the details are "his fault". PUHLEEZ. NO one expected this disaster to be so ... well... unmanagable. I think they did a good job overall... granted it took a while, but heck htere were hundreds of thousands of people to deal with. who would expect shooting at helicopters, which caused delays in food and supplies? who thought so many would not evacuate , even though the warnings ( i am not talking about people who couldn't get out--- elderly, sick, no $--- there are always going to be some who stay). The size and impact of this disaster was beyond expectations. They did the best they could, no one wanted to delay supplies on purpose, including Bush. so quit the bitching about how a natural disaster was his fault. i dont care WHO didnt do what, the point is, the best is being done, and lets look a little positive. Even if Kerry were in office, it wouldn't matter. I hate it when politics is involved in everything. Why have we become such a country divided? it is stupid in my opinion and it wastes everyone's time arguing tit for tat. Funny how a lot of Canadians and New Zealander's blogs that i read are all into our politics. and bush bash. excuse me?

Me and three friends are planning a "holiday" in November. I am sooo excited. We are going to go boating, dolphin petting, disco dancing, stay out all night, snorkeling, kite-surfing, and jet-skiing! doesnt that sound like fun??? oh yeah, and bead. most of that was a joke. i will be LUCKY to get these girls on a boat, much less pet a freaking dolphin. lol.

Today we are going to a friend's house to cook out and go out on the boat. Another couple that we really adore will be there too. All the kids will have fun. Poor Blake, all girls his age!! Julia will be in hog- heaven with all of the big girls, and blake will be bossed around all day. ROFL

Was this too long? scroll back to recap so you can comment. Have a good day.

Settings under the comment section. I agree with you about Bush and the hurricane. And it was definitely NOT because of global warming. I want people to pay more attention to the people in Mississipi. They were hit the worst by the hurricane. New Orleans problem was the flooding because of a levy that have known for DECADES could not withstand a category 2 or 3 hurricane. I hate it for them because you can't blame the poor people that live there but that should have been a priority considering they are a city below sea level! Oh, have fun today. I think I'll just be hanging out at home celebrating not having to work! LOL

You have me curious who these bloggers are.

No matter what Bush does it's not good enough for some people.

I can't say it was definitely not because of global warming. I don't know. We have had hurricanes for as long as we know, but scientists say global warming will cause major catastrophic weather changes, and it seems to be happening. I'm not too worried about what caused it right now. It seems to me, helping the victims is what matters now. Natural disasters are no time for politics.

I can't stand Bush, but I can honestly say that I don't think he's done anything wrong here. Admittedly, I haven't followed every single detail, but he didn't cause the hurricane. He also wasn't the one who ignored the bad condition of the levees and signed off on them. I could go on, but I won't. For once, I'm not Bush bashing...

I think the biggest point you hit on is the example we set for our children. vote for who you want, and have your reasons.. yes...

but showing disrespect just sends a bad messege to generations to come.

the holiday in Nov sounds fun!!
