Ok, i have the problem narrowed down. I have done extensive research.

Local News-2 hrs.
Sorry fellows, but they need a Woman in charge. You can tell all of the big shots are men. if a woman was leading the effort, there would be water, food and more toys for the kids. there would be no delay on these essential items. why cant they get them in? screw the danger, i would be shot trying to bring in water for these humans who have lost everythiing and are living in DEPLORABLE situations in the nasty superdome.
did anyone see Harry Connick Jr on the Today show this morning? omg i love him so much more ( if possible ) now. He was so upset, saying that these were GOOD people. we have almost dismissed them as the poor, mentally ill, drug dealers, , which may account for a small number, but they are still PEOPLE waiting for someone to get their stuff together , fight for them, come in with REAL relief, and HELP> Pres Bush is coming to see the sites today. He better bring some real help with him. omg. it has been a week!!
I want to go. tears at my heartstrings. i get so pissed when people are not news savvy , do not make themselves aware of what is going on with our neihgbors in the gulf coast, and are involved in their own lives... i know life must go on. and i will try not to obsess.

I hear you. I makes me sick to see what is going on.
Those mothers holding their babies and having no food. I am sick seeing this. I can't begin to imagine, if that were me there with my kids.
GOD PLEASE DO SOMETHING.
THAT BUSH OF YOURS REALLY NEEDS A HIT IN THE HEAD.

Amen! I don't have cable, so I haven't been able to see as much coverage as you.

You might be pissed at me, then. I'm keeping up, but not as much as I could be. To be honest, it makes my stomach hurt a little, and I don't want to feel all down that much. I figure watching the news isn't going to change much. I can only do what I can do from here, whether I watch or not.

It is heart breaking to watch. I think that the flooding of New Orleans just caught everyone off guard. Those poor people are desparate and stranded. I really wish I could go down there and help too. I think a couple of people from my work are. One of the girls, her husbands sister is in one of the towns that got hit.

Oh, and I saw pictures of Bush with some of the victims. He was hugging them and kissing them on the head. I don't think he realized how really devastating it was until he saw it in person. I don't thin any of us can.

I saw the bit on Harry (LOVE him, too, BTW.... seen him in concert several times!)
but that's besides the point. The biggest thing I took away from his bit was his remark on them being GOOD people. I was so proud of him for not getting caught up in the hype (notice Katie asked him like THREE times about the violence??? like she was WANTING to hear how horrible and animalistic people are behaving???)
anyways... just wnated to comment that I feel the same.
