Another Outlet for My Reality Obsessed Self

AHHH this is going to be one of those long posts.. i can already tell.
Ok, first of all my cryfest.
Julia's preschool has a "grandparents day" picnic and since her g'parents all live out of town or state, i told her I would come and eat lunch with her. Told her I would bring broccoli cheese soup from chili's ( her favorite) . Well, i dropped her off Friday, and walked her in -it was her snack day, so i helped her in.... the teacher was saying something about the picnic, and me thinking it was next week, was not so worried... ok, smart internets, you have already figured it out that FRIDAY WAS THE PICNIC> i dropped her off, went off to Moms group, was freaking otu because it was our first time back since summer started, so i was busy busy getting it all together. I rushed out of there at 11:55, nervous i was going to be late, and had a friend follow me, (she was taking me to drop my car in the shop= another long story) I get to car-pool line at 12:01 and it is a ghost-town! i walk into school, all pissed off, cause surely they did not get 100 kids picked up by 12:01. well, all the kids went home with their parents or GRANDPARENTS after the picnic. I walked in, didnt see Julia, was told about the picnic, and started BAWLING. i quicly got consoled by two teachers and an administrator. how embarrassing. i never miss anything!! OMG i felt like a crap mom. Julia forgave me, as i told her we were going to Mc D's for happy meals, but what a loser i felt like. i dont want any comments, "oh this happens, etc..." IT WILL NOT HAPPEN again. i still tear up thinking of her sitting with her teacher, eating goldfish, her teacher telling her surely i was on the way.
