I always feel like I say the wrong thing. I keep praying that I can be a comfort to Missy, but I am feeling like I am saying all the wrong things. Ugg. Oh well, I know it isnt about me, but someone should teach a class..."what to say when____happens."

I know what you mean. That's why I always add a disclaimer that says: "I will not say the right thing to you right now, but I am honestly trying, and my heart's in the right place."

During the time that my dad was sick and after he died, people said a lot of things that I could have took offense to, but I think it's pretty obvious when someone's heart is in the right place, and they really don't know what to say. I'm sure she knows how much much you love her, and it's wonderful that you are there for her as much as you can be. I'm planning on sending a card out on Monday.

It is so hard to say the right things but I think she knows whats in your heart. She is lucky to have you as her friend. Just be there for her as much as you can.
