addicted ......to a book and a song

I stayed up last night till 4 a.m. reading this book, A million little pieces by James Frey- it is an Oprah pick... It was soooo good! a friend of mine at church told me about seeing it on the show Oprah, so tonight i got online to oprah.com, and saw all about the book that i just couldn't put down. Well, much to my delight, there is a part TWO! called my friend leonard... my dear sweet husband is at barnes and nobles right now buying me the hardback!!! OMG i am sooo excited. i had already run to the grocery store to find something to read, and ended up with an anita shreve book which will have to GO ON HOLD for now!!
about the book- it is foul, wretched, etc.... it is a true account of this man James and his detox in a treatment center- crack and booze were his main two poisons. it is a minute by minute replay of his detox... every vomit, every bile, blood, every haunting thought, every flinch of pain , every friend, every therapy session. it is honest. it is brutal. the thoughts just flow- no punctuation (which i LOVE because i think it is a waste of precious speed typing). I am just elated to stay up again all night and read! LOL sigh tomorrow is monday. Today in church, while trying to stay awake, i just prayed for James Frey and his life now. the Lord really has put him on my heart and I will do all I can to pray- he is LOST LOST LOST. i hope by the end of this book he is found found found. lol.
On another note, i am also obsessed with memorizing a hawaiian song. *(lol sandy! i need help translating though).... it is called he mele no lilo- dumb lilo and stitch CD. lol . catchy tune.
tomorrow is about our adventure in NC- we went to chimney rock and hiked. :)

I also read A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I was blown away by how addicted this guy was to every substance on the planet. But the craziest part of the story, in my opinion, was how he got all that dental work--including a root canal and a couple fillings and some other stuff--WITH NO PAIN KILLERS! I could barely get through that part, it made my own teeth hurt. Wow.
