We are off to the pool. trying to find a summertime routine and i think i may have found it. i will take the kids to the pool, park, let them have a friend over for sprinkler time IF AND ONLY IF they help me in the morning do a few chores. today they had to get their toys out of the car left over from our tennessee trip and clean their room. of course, julia got done a lot faster, and also cleaned the bathroom counters off and helped in the kitchen. haha. blake was in his room reading a book. he is the worst picker upper. at least he was reading i guess. the only bad thing that i can forsee happening is if i am strict about them helping, i dont want to take away pool time, because the pool is my fav thing in the world (besides the beach) . i guess i could put them in timeout for 5 min poolside if they slack so we dont all suffer and have to forgo the pool. that is not reasonable punishment. . i am dragging them to the gym at 430 for yogalates. they will be thrilled NOT!! HA HA of well.
anyways, if you could just see the smile on my face...HAPPY SUMMER i am so delighted

Your kids are the opposite of mine. Andrew is the cleaner/organizer. Alison will pretend she's cleaning, but really she's dancing or something totally unrelated.

I can still see only part of you writing. Both my kids are messy....i think it runs in the family! LOL Maybe one day, you can bring the kids and come swimming with us at my mom's!

That's funny, I would have seen it the other way around. Blake seems to be the cleaner one to me. I guess that's just b/c the only thing I'm really going on is the fact that everytime Julia enters a room, she drops her shoes wherever her feet happen to be when she thinks about it! I would have to say TJ is my cleanest child! Oh, and Julia, I can TOTALLY see Alison dancing around, pretending to clean! She's so cute!

Oh my - want to talk about cleaning up?! My kid is just like a CYCLONE... she leaves a mess all over the place! Sometimes I think its just easier to pick it up myself b/c she is the worst cleaner in the world. I ask her to clean her room and everything goes in one corner! I go in and clean it b/c I cant stand it!
Have fun at the POOL! It hasnt been nice here yet for the pool let alone a sprinkler!

right now, blake went with a friend to the pool (first time to go without me! yikes!! haha) and julia went to her friend across the street to "play" in the sprinklers. i should make my time alone useful,but i prob wont. prob will just read blogs. haha
