Stone=freaking tearjerker.

Last night, after a long day swimming, we decided to chill with a movie. we wanted a good laugh, and i remember someone saying how good Family Stone was, and the previews looked hilarious. We popped cheddar butter pour over popcorn, got our diet cokes ready, and sat down to what we thought was a gut busting comedy. God. why didnt anyone tell me that is the saddest movie EVER? we were both just blubbering idiots at the end. maybe it had to do with yesterdays circumstances. That lady who's house we gutted out and cleaned...? she passed away yesterday morning. I wasnt really "sad", because i KNOW she is in Heaven, cancer free, and i wasnt really too close with her, but the thought of her 10 yr old daughter tore me up. Amber was on the way to the hospital to see her mom but her mom had already died. She will now live with her aunt, and overall it will be a great environment, clean, healthy, but her MOM died...!
(one p.s. we were kind of saying how sad it was that this woman will never see her house clean. nice huh? but Amber went to the house a couple of weeks ago to pick up some clothes, and they said that she ran from room to room just bawling and saying, "look at the fridge-its so CLEAN!", "all my clothes are washed and put away!" she was so thrilled with happiness. Thank you God for giving us the blessing of thrilling this sweet girl. God works in mysterious ways. We dont know why and it is not for us to question, although that is what human nature says to do, we just have to trust. its so hard.
Here is a pic of when we went to the hospital last sunday. it was her birthday and we brought her a cake . i was the one taking the picture....

Sad, but cool at the same time. I know you have to feel cool that you did that, even though I remember you were a little bugged about it at first. It is pretty sad she didn't get to see it, though. Of course, as you said, she'll see it from Heaven, and she'll surely be able to enjoy it more w/o cancer and the like.

My heart is breaking for the poor little girl. I bet what you all did for her family will be remembered and will mean even more to her when she is grown and has her own family.
