Another Outlet for My Reality Obsessed Self

Well, I guess my reign is over. Yes, Greater Irmo Mother of the Year has been passed on to some other lucky mom who's husband had sense enough to write into the paper and nominate his wife, therefore earning him brownie points for LIFE!! (for those of you who weren't with me last year , my sweet DH wrote an article into the paper nominating me and I won with his fantastic story!- i got good stuff such as a mani/pedi, diamond necklace, hair cut and color, limo ride, brunch, etc... it was SWEET!)

I have had a lovely day today so far...flowers, muffins, fruit and coffee in bed, lunch at Chili's with the DH-yes he had to work!. It will only get better with creme brulee and the Survivor finale tonight. I have a funny story. So Wes last night made creme brulee (he is the KING OF BRULEE!) . This morning when i woke up, he told me about it and asked me where the torch is -- you see, he is a chef/foodie. We do not have any pansy Emeril or Bed Bath and Beyond mini-torch. OH NOOOOOO!! We have a welding device from Home Depot that can fix your pipes or burn your turbinado sugar--you pick! I had left it at a Christmas Party and my friend returned it to me in January at Church. I stuck it downstairs in the church kitchen, and grabbed it today- you know, to make sure i could have my brulee properly tonight. So , here I am , walking through church, with a cute skirt, top and sandals, and carrying a blow torch. I got lots of crazy looks!! I hardly look like a terrorist though, so it was all good. all good including the creme brulee i ate the minute i got home.
