Applications for a trip to NYC
1. Must love dancing on speakers to songs that ROCK like the one listed above. At red-carpet-ish clubs with Leonardo Dicaprio , etc... (lol)
2. Must not dispise boom boom boom hiphop dancing all night
3. Must let strangers buy drinks such as chocolate martinis and cosmos
4. Must not be grossed out by a weekend of chain smoking
5. Must be willing to drop an enormous amount of money at Union Station, Rocco's Restaurant
6. Must be willing to (stalk) Rocco, but then spend the whole time telling them about how great a chef Wesley is........or ________ is , if you are married to a chef-y type.
7. Must not count calories at the tiramsu stands, and must not make fun if i eat five
8. Must not be scared......nope , even if we 're in Harlem, we must pretend to be local
9. Must have a fake name picked out and a fake story to tell.
10. Must be willing to go to Regis and Kelly, and not get embarrased if I make a fool of myself trying to convince Kelly to be my best friend. Stalking of Kelly may be required of you.
11. Must wear heels and not bitch about all of the walking. We'll look GOOD . screw comfort this is a weekend away!
12. Must indulge me as I look through the want-ads and real estate for the city.
13. No Statue of Liberty tour this trip honey. Maybe next time. WE are here to party.
14. Must know what drunk-dialing is... and come to the hotel lobby with me at 5 a.m to call my very very patient husband.
15. Must order a cocktail inflight and listen to Ipods and ponder the weekend.
16. Must download "how did you get here" by Deborah Cox, and make it a theme song for the weekend away.
17. The only touristy things allowed (you don't get a vote- this is my dream weekend!)
a. tiramisu stands and/or Little Italy
b. Regis and Kelly
c. Club 21
d. Tavern on the Green for brunch-with mimosas and bloody marys!
e. Maybe one early broadway show. A MUSICAL though, not a play. preferably Mamma Mia or Hairspray
I would be SHOCKED if any of you were "in". sigh........... but i love you anyways.

Okay I can agree to everything but the not being scared in harlem (I'll try hard) and stalking Kelly. lol Everything else sounds perfect, when do we leave?

ps... re: harlem... it's really not that bad. Just have a big ass and learn to speak spanish... oh, and never walk through there alone at night!!!
if all else fails, I have a friend who's mom still lives on first avenue.... speaks only spanish, but she's definitely a safe haven!
