ready for a sermon?

Blake's class had their "holiday party" yesterday. I love his school SOO much - i am not worried about the holiday usage instead of Christmas. They have angels on their December home calendar, as well as the other extreme by playing Santa bingo, making reindeer hats, so the real meaning and the Santa part are both displayed. I think it is sweet how they play it all up. Oh yeah lets not forget the Christmas tree in the foyer .
So yesterday, while i was helping with the party, and passing out cookies, a little boy says, "Can we say grace?" and a few more say "yeah can we?". The teacher got nervous looking and kind of joked, saying, "I'm not touching that!" haha kinda. I spoke right up and said, sure say grace, after all it IS a HOLIDAY PARTY. and a few did. It made me proud for their mamas, as if they have learned it is OKAY to stick with what you have been tought. the kid even ended the prayer with In Jesus' name, and i just got a little teary, cause isnt that what this whole thing is about? Thank you God for Christmas. Thank you for Santa, because it makes me and their Daddy so happy to be able to bless them as you have blessed us. Thank you for tacky lights outside so we can drive through the neighborhoods and oooh and ahhh. Thank you for hot chocolate with extra marshmallows. Thank you for being able to bless others who need it. You always provide above and beyond, even when we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for fun parties and good times. Thank you for the Drive-through Christmas story, with real donkeys and the scene set like old time Bethlehem, so we can get a glimpse of what it may have been like 2000 yrs ago when you were born. Thank you for the real meaning and keeping me in perspective, because once you have the meaning deep in your heart, Christmas will never be the same. Thank you for family and friends. Thank you for loving me.
Merry Christmas a little early.

I know the teacher legally can't say yes to that, so I'm glad you were there to take over in that department! What sweet kids!
