books, partying at 33, chelsea new york(ie)
2005-11-20
Has anyone read White Oleander? it was an oprah pick a while back. just curious. it was then made into a movie with michelle pfeiffer. seen it? anyone read A million little pieces yet? if not, why not? dont give me any lame excuses about how "busy" you are. lol. i am in a reading mood lately. i am just tearing through books. i want to read traveling pants deux next. the first one was good.
i have been partying big time lately. my parents took me out to a birthday lunch tues, then breakfast and lunch wed, then out to dinner on thursday and then again last night , i met a friend out and they did the whole birthday die of embarrasement song! ROFL. i had a glass of chard so i was a little less mortified , and it went by quickly. i guess my birthday week is winding down... tonight me and kiddos are going to a USC/Clemson game at a friends house. my kids are all decked out in florida stuff. college football is very humorous to me.
i need to post pics of our new dog- wes went out and bought her a sweater. rofl. he said she was "cold" BA HA HAHA.. he was in petsmart and all of these little old ladies were helping him get the perfect "fit"/ chelsea (the dog) ended up with a lilac and pink leopard print. it is very vogue. chelsea is a yorkie- or as we call her , a new yorkie. it is a sign from above, because we wanted a yorkie named chelsea , queens or brooklyn to signify "New York" --get it new yorkie? the name chelsea? my mom just happened upon chelsea at a yard sale in tejas and next thing you know, she and my dad were SC bound with hound in tow. she is a little lap dog- 7 yrs old and adorable. collin , our black lab, likes his new sister. lol.

I loved White Oleander--the book, not the movie. And A Million Little Pieces was great too, not so much for the way it was written, but because it's so unbelievable and true.

I want to see Chelsea pics. Thanks for the nice comments about Puppy.
OK, Pieces of Me was way down on my list of books to read, but because I love you, I am going to read it next. :) I just have to finish Ahab's Wife first.
