So, I am up early today. Wes has MY car, as his sits dEAD in the driveway...$700 to fix wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have 250,000 miles on it. SOOO he works 45 min away -that takes the fun out of dropping him off at work. too far.
Anyways, I am getting ready for church. The Moms group I "lead" is having a Couple's Luau in 2 weeks and we are having it catered and free child-care, BUT we are charging $20, which is great for a catered affair and not having to pay a babysitter. Me and Emily (my co-leader girl) are going to be in the church foyer wearing Leis -BA HA HA to let people know to sign up. Here is the menu :
Tequila Lime Chicken Wings
Meatballs hawaiian (pineapple in sweet and sour sauce)
Shrimp Vinaigrette Salad with scallions , red peps, etc..
Cheddar Coins (like cheese Straws )
with Jalapeno Jelly
Fruit Salsa and chips
Veggies with cream cheese pineapple dip
cream of coconut bites
lemon tartlets
brownies with macadamia nuts
Raspberry Sangria (non -alcoholic for these church peeps)
So sounds fun huh? send me your money and i will sign you up!
God and I have some issues to duke out today. Wes has an opportunity with Brinker (chili's) in NW Florida. We casually thought "oh it would be nice to live on/near the beach, and this falls in our lap. Now we have major decisions to make. As much as I love where I live, frankly, it is getting a bit irritating. We have short timers ~Wes says it is almost like we conquered here~and he doesnt mean that in a "proud" kind of way... almost like this place has nothng for us>? (except my friends, some family and wonderful BIL and SIL(s) and cutest nephew and niece, but hey if we live on the beach i will do everything in my power to keep TJ from being a shoobie-he will love the beach when i am done with him!!)
hmmm I just feel a pull, but am scared. It all changes when your kids are in school, but as my good friend Kelly said so perfectly, "do you remember 1st grade? well, neither will Blake". PLUS my kids are very easily adapted. ugggggg..... hard to know. BUT Sara is in Florida, and If i can talk her into the panhandle, or really wherever they may end up, that is one of the whole goals. So i need to know. God, can you show me? i am too stupid to catch the signs you are sending...is this why we cannot find a house we like here? i don't know. I guess once the details of the job offer are negotiated, it will be all clear (hopefully it is just spelled out for us- take the job or stay your behinds in SC)
I am tired of writing this.. have a good day. XOX

Go Tammy! The menu sounds yummy Gina. You do have some tough decisions ahead of you. But I think you will know what to do when the time comes. And your friend does have a good point about remembering first grade! And they are at an age where it is very easy to make friends.

From listening to stories you really seem to enjoy Florida. I'm sure when the time comes God will have shown you the signs to make the right decison for your family. Sheesh - I just told Tom the other day, I would LOVE to move to SC to be near my loopies! I really want to get out of here no joke, but I wont go unless my parents and Erica go! I'm such a wimp!
