A neat little town?

2005-07-17

Our anniversary is coming up and I could use some brainstorm help. I would like to take a two day trip with not much driving involved. We live in central SC. Maybe a couple of hours from here? 3 at the most? Not Biltmore , not camping...and definitely NOT CHARLESTON or surrounding area.
Anyone know of any cute little towns ? Beach is good. Mtns good. Rafting maybe? I am thinking NC ish. Sheesh i am picky. lol.
Thanks for any help.

How about staying in one of those cabins in the Brevard/Cashiers area? I want to do that with Richard one day, because I think it looks romantic. How long have you been married?

How about Beaufort? It is a nice little town. Or Edisto beach....not at all commercialized. Or find you a B&B near one of the rivers....maybe the Chatooga and enjoy some rafting too!

Trey's family suggests NC beaches...Wrightsville, Wilmington, etc....they are much calmer and more low-key than Myrtle Beach, but supposedly really pretty and have lots to do with families, or for couples. I think Suzeana (on my blogroll) just went to one of them, so you can read about her trip or ask her about it. I've never been, so I'm just going on what I've heard!

Gina, I don't know where it was, but the cabin they stayed in was secluded, but it was really nice inside. It had the full kitchen with everything but the food, a hot tub, nice furniture, etc.
