cough cough gag gag

I haven't posted in a while- seems every time i think about posting, there is nothing i want to talk about. lol. not much going on right now. I have been really sick-coughing my brains out every 5 seconds. i get this 3-4 times a year. i think i am allergic to bradford pears- they are my favorite tree- but i think they are the culprit.
one of my best friends, Missy in Texas, son Gage swallowed a paper clip (the BIG ones) and it hasnt passed yet. she took him to the doctor, and they dont seem concerned. i helped convince her to get a second opinion- i know i am barely in nursing school , so i dont know much, but it seems like a clip could catch on part of the digestive tract and tear something important. Well, the second opinion was the same as the first... wait and see. the doc says it is probably really covered in mucus by now, and should be okay. i would freak out knowing that was inside my child- she feels like a bad mom, but seriously , things like this happen.. ALL the time.
Blake, who is very very well behaved, had a bad accident today. I was trying to nebulize myself with the vaporizer when i heard the loudest crash ever!! We have an antique secretary desk that comes apart (top and bottom). the top we use as a kind of china cabinet- my willow lake figurines, a wedgwood bowl, wes' grandfathers old teapot, all the favorites. well, i had a bag of balloons on top, and he decided to climb UP the slanted desk part and crashed the whole top off the base. I was so happy he was not hurt (and happy he did not totally break the secretary in two). he did break a few of the things inside, but i think i can superglue. also part of the wood came off the top but superglue for that too. he was so upset, i had to calm him down before i could start picking up shards of glass. poor kid. i couldnt fuss at him because it scared the crap out of him.
The bed time stories are coming to an end, as far as i can hear. time for piggy back rides and tucking in. Buh Bye

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope that TJ didn't get in your way and make feeling not so good worse. I really do appreciate you guys watching him. You are SO awesome, and I owe you big for it. I totally needed to get out last night, and I think it was good for my mental health!
You know, I think Bradford Pear trees are so beautiful, and I begged Trey to let us have one at our first house. He refused, telling me just to wait until they all bloomed. He was right. They were pretty annoying, and the stuff was all over in the air. I can see how you would be really bothered by them. They are pretty, though.
I live in fear of the kind of moments you wrote about. TJ stepped off the bed the other night and fell, which was totally minor compared to these stories. I'm still rattled about it!

Nothing to talk about, eh? I go the other way. I probably have nothing to talk about, but I talk about it anyway. So you all get to read about all the little boring details of my life, lol.
I'm glad Blake wasn't seriously hurt. I guess that was a learning experience for him.
