Today felt like the most normal day that i have had in a while. As many of you know, wes had surgery a few weeks ago, so he has been home recovering and going to physical therapy. I have been so happy to have him home. It really is nice to spend all of this time with him. We do coffee a few mornings a week, go have lunch with blake at his school, i meet friends out and he can be home with the kids,.etc...all this time that doesnt center around his work and when he gets home. BUT now this week , he has gone back to work (well, working out his notice as he starts a new job on Monday) and I have been excited to get back into my routine. Today, Julia and I kind of slept in, got up, went to the dry cleaners, went to Storytime as we do every Wednesday, then went to the post office, then finally the gym.. It was like old times. Just my little routine makes me so happy. Today i am happy to be a stay at home mom and just enjoy my little family.

There are times when i itch, and wish i could finish my nursing career faster, but then again, i will miss these moments, and as Karla said in her post about the amaryllis, I am going to BLINK and she will be grown. She is so cute now at 4. It is my favorite age (then again, it changes every time either of them have a birthday!) She wants her hair put in 5 little butterfly clips, ya know what i mean? like coming from her forehead into little twirlies, and then clipped back. SO CUTE>, but already she is wanting to brush her own hair and do her own thing. Just so big already. Ugg here i go rambling. I have had a good day though. Tomorrow is early release day for Blake, so he gets out at 1140. i am planning on taking them to see a movie at 1:00. The theatres here do a matinee on early release days. 1.00 movie, 1.00 popcorn and 1.00 soda. I think it is Cinderella Story.

I lead a moms group at my church-it is similar to mops. we do moms nights out, playdates, and have meetings twice a month and have guest speakers, etc.. come in. I thought i would put out the suggestion box for you all for ideas. We have done all of the typical ones... organization, loving your husband, love languages, boundaries, recipe swaps, etc... need some new fresh ideas. I am going to teach in a few weeks about cooking with your kids. I think it is very important even to let them crack the eggs or put the cheese on the tortillas for quesadillas-think i can make it into an hour long topic?? BA HA

I have rambled long enough. thanks for all who made it this far. have a perfect thursday.

MOPS is international so i bet there is one somewhere in your area. our group is similar than mops, but MOPS is only till your kids hit preschool then they kick you out. haha. ours is for all ages and stages of motherhood. BUT it is very fun and a good way to meet friends.

Well, you definitely need to show them the joke I sent you. They, I'm sure, will find it hilarious! I will have to think on this one. You could learn how to use ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis, I think) to change unwanted behaviors in your husbands. I learned it in college, and I promise it works! I need to use it to get Trey to take out the trash! Plus, it's very scientific (and easy to boot!), and would make everyone feel very scientist-like!
